Experiential Visit Catalogue: Featuring, The Nalaga'at Center

Our experiential catalogue is a chance for Israel’s nonprofits around the country to invite visitors to their organization and give them an experiential insight into their organization and its mission. One of our many tours is to The Nalaga'at Center. This is a meeting place for deaf, blind, deaf-blind and the general public that through an artistic and cultural experience engage in a dialogue between equals by means of:  The Nalaga'at Theater, Kapish Café, and the BlackOut Restaurant.

Located at the Old Port of Jaffa, Nalaga’at offers the following visit to their organization:

The Nalaga'at Center is a cultural, entertainment and training center. It is open to the public on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. The performance "Not by Bread Alone" (intended for ages 12 and up) is staged twice a week (Tuesday and Thursday) and the performance "Luna-Park" (ages 12 and up) is staged once a week (Sunday). In addition there are regular performances of "Prince Rooster" and "Give a Sign!" (both intended for children). Kapish café (whose waiters are deaf) and the BlackOut restaurant (whose waiters are blind with dining in pitch darkness! )are open on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday. In addition, the Center offers a variety of workshops hosted by deaf and blind instructors including: Sign language workshops, wine / ice-cream tasting in the dark and clay sculpturing in the dark. It also offers special private events for individuals and groups from Israel and abroad including major companies and public institutions.
