HERZLIA COURSE: FUNDRAISING & GRANT WRITING SKILLS

DEVELOP YOUR FUNDRAISING & GRANT WRITING SKILLS
6 Sessions, 3 hours each, led by David Maeir-Epstein, MSSA

In HERZLIA, beginning March 6, 2011

The grant writing aspect of the course will focus on teaching how to write grant proposals, identifying and working with foundations. Participants will produce a grant proposal as a result of the course. The fundraising section will teach the theoretical and practical tools necessary to enhance your knowledge of the field including personal solicitation, fundraising events, corporate sponsorships and internet fundraising. The final session will include guidance on how to gain employment or professional advancement in the field.

Cost:
•1,640 NIS +VAT in full (or 1,675 NIS incl. VAT in 3 payments) by February 8th
•1,690 NIS +VAT in full (or 1,725 NIS incl. VAT in 3 payments) by February 15th

Learn the art of grant writing and fundraising for non-profit organizations in a 6-session, 18-hour combined grant writing and fundraising course with David Maeir Epstein, MSSA resource development consultant for non-profit organizations. David has worked in the field of fundraising and grant writing for over thirty years and has served as an independent organizational consultant for tens of nonprofit organizations in Israel. In the last decade, David has assisted clients in raising over $19 million. David has also taught Resource Development for Welfare Organizations at Hebrew University's Baerwald School of Social Work

Graduates are provided with information about openings in the field of fundraising and grant writing in Israel. Many graduates have subsequently entered the field or advanced their position. Graduates have uniformly indicated that they gained much practical and helpful experiential information and a fair number have gained employment or enhanced their career in part due to the course.

Course Description:
The course consists of six meetings of three hours. Each meeting will be divided into a grant writing part and a fundraising part.

Learn the art of grantwriting and fundraising for non-profit organizations in a 6-session 18-hour course with David Maeir Epstein, MSSA.

In the grantwriting section of the course we will focus on the teaching of the following essential skills: how to write grant proposals, how to identify and work with foundations, and how to gain employment as salaried staff or freelancers. The fundraising section will teach the theoretical and practical tools necessary to enhance your knowledge of the field and your capabilities for professional advancement.

Cost: 1,500 NIS plus VAT (includes study materials) for the general public. Members of Nefesh B'Nefesh, AACI, SAZF, the Yokneam Forum of Technical Writers (Elephant), UJIA, and graduates of the Arava Institute for Environmental Studies receive an additional 50 NIS discount. *There is an early-bird discount of 100 NIS for those who register and pay for the course in full by January 31, 2011.

The IsraelGrants.com Fundraising and Grantwriting Course will take place in Herzlia beginning Sunday, MARCH 6, 2011. We are taking registration now.

Learn the art of grantwriting and fundraising for non-profit organizations in a 4-session, 16-hour combined grantwriting and fundraising course with David Maeir Epstein, resource development consultant for non-profit organizations. David Epstein, MSSA, has worked in the field of fundraising and grantwriting for over thirty years and has served as an independent organizational consultant for tens of nonprofit organizations in Israel. In the last nine years, David has assisted clients in raising over $19 million. David has taught courses in Resource Development for Welfare Organizations at Hebrew University's Baerwald School of Social Work

Graduates are provided with information about the many openings in the field of fundraising and grantwriting in Israel. Many graduates have subsequently entered the field or advanced their position Graduates have uniformly indicated that they gained much practical and helpful experiential information and a fair number have gained employment or enhanced their career in part due to the course.

Course Description: The course consists of four meetings of four hours. Each meeting will be divided into a grantwriting part and a fundraising part. The grantwriting part will consist of a lecture and a hands-on grantwriting workshop, with each session dealing with a different aspect of grantwriting. Participants will be assisted with the writing of different parts of a grant proposal, and homework from each session will be reviewed in the following class.

The fundraising part of the course will include lectures, discussion and experiential simulation workshops on personal solicitation, planning fundraising events, corporate sponsorships and internet web site and email fundraising.

The course is conducted in English, with a Hebrew translation of terms for key words. Hebrew speakers who understand English but prefer to communicate in Hebrew are welcome to participate. Upon finishing the course, graduates receive diplomas certifying their participation in the course.

Cost: 1,500 NIS plus VAT (including study materials) for the general public, which comes out to 1740 NIS - price may change depending on number of participants. *There is an early-bird discount of 100 NIS for those who register and pay for the course in full by January 31.
