David Maeir-Epstein, Resource Development for Nonprofit Organizations, Ltd. is seeking an Assistant Director of Resource Development for our client, Melabev

Job Description:

  • Full-time, newly-established position in Jerusalem
  • To organize and run parlor meetings and events in various neighborhoods of greater Jerusalem. To design events and activities that will attract Hebrew speakers and English speakers and people of various ages

  • To assist in the running of annual large events (Walkathon and Virtual Dinner) and to expand the number of donors who participate by reaching out to other populations
  • To assist in writing reports for various agencies from whom we receive funding
  • To assist in the writing of grant proposals to various foundations and major donors from whom we hope to receive funding
  • To pursue government grants

  • To reach out to Hebrew speaking major donors and seek grants from European nationals
  • To work with the Friends of Melabev and the Walkathon committees
  • To help maintain the fundraising material on the web site
  • To develop social networking and coordinate multi-media resources: including uploading material to YouTube and to our web sites

Skills required:

  • Computer literacy (Word, Excel, Internet, etc.)
  • Hebrew and English at mother tongue level (speaking, reading and writing). Other language(s) desirable
  • University degree(s) in related field (social sciences, English and/or Hebrew Language and Literature, etc.)
  • Administrative,/organizational experience
  • Proven writing ability and other communication skills
  • Desirable but not required: experience in public relations and / or fundraising; Graphics ability; Knowledge of social networking
