Job Opening at Hakshiva

Job title: Grant Writer and Development Associate
30 hours/week. Based in Ramat Beit Shemesh

Hakshiva is a non-profit, full-service organization committed to helping distraught parents, at-risk children, disenfranchised youth, and shattered families to re-build healthy, successful and joyous lives. Our primary aim is to help prevent children from falling through the cracks, by providing mentors and tutors, helping parents facilitating appropriate school placements, and providing subsidized counseling by qualified therapists. We also offer programs for teens in distress including supervised drop-in centers and group programming.

1) Management of contact with foundations, government agencies, and major donors.
A) Identifying potential funders and partners including tenders and other organizations.
B) Development of contact with decision makers of these funding sources
C) Preparing grants and other necessary documents.
D) Submitting the application, and regular contact to receive the grant and / or in-depth investigation of the reasons for the refusal.
E) Preparation of reports for those funds after receiving approval.
F) Working to increase the level of partnership and relationship with the funders.

2) Donor database management
A) Responsibility for technology
B) Managing the data collection, and collect comprehensive information about the donors.
C) Managing the ongoing documentation of donations and / or interfaces with donors.
D) Identifying prospects for each campaign.
E) Trend Analysis

3) Donor Development 
A) Classification of donors and follow-up contacts with various types of donors.
B) Build contact and development plan for these different types and manage the cultivation process.

4) Preparation of marketing material
A) Preparation of marketing material in Hebrew and English for direct contact with the different types of donors and for campaigns in cooperation with the campaign manager.
B) Preparation of text and other items for the web site.
