COURSE IN GRANTWRITING, FOUNDATIONS AND FUNDRAISING IN Jerusalem
Develop Your Fundraising & Grantwriting Skills
6 three-hour sessions led by David Maeir- Epstein, MSSA
Beginning December2012 in Jerusalem

David Maeir-Epstein: David has worked in the field of fundraising and grantwriting for over thirty-five years and has served as an independent organizational consultant for hundreds of nonprofit organizations in Israel. In the last decade, David has assisted clients in raising some $20 million. David has also taught Resource Development for Welfare Organizations at Hebrew University's Baerwald School of Social Work. Over 600 people have graduated this course and the evaluation forms they have completed have been universally enthusiastic in terms of the content, methodology and practical utility of the course. Topics covered: Each meeting will be divided into a grantwriting and fundraising section. The grantwriting aspect of the course will focus on teaching how to write grant proposals, identifying and working with foundations.  Participants will produce a professional grant proposal as a result of the course. The fundraising part of the course will teach the theoretical and practical tools necessary to enhance your knowledge of the field via lectures, discussion and experiential simulation workshops on personal solicitation, planning fundraising events, corporate sponsorships, internet web site and email fundraising. Upon finishing the course, graduates receive diplomas certifying their participation in the course.
After the course: Graduates are provided with information about openings in the field of fundraising and grantwriting in Israel. Many graduates have subsequently entered the field or advanced their position.

Dates: The course will take place on Sundays at 17:00-20:00, on the following dates: 16 & 30 of December 2012; 13 & 27 of January 2013; and 10 &17 of February 2013.

Location & Language: The course will take place on 43 A Emek Refaim St. Jerusalem and will be conducted in English. A translation of key words into Hebrew will be provided if necessary.

Costs & Discounts: The cost for the course is 1,500NIS plus VAT (1,755 including VAT).
Those who register early will receive a 75NIS early bird discount* off the full price of 1500 NIS plus VAT.
